What is FT Fortnight?
Fairtrade Fortnight is an annual campaign led by the Fairtrade Foundation which aims to draw attention to the issue of ethical trade and to raise awareness about Fairtrade products and the Fairtrade Mark.
Fair Trade in Norfolk called on you to help celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight 2008, which took place between Monday 25 February and Sunday 9 March 2008.
What happened in Norfolk?
We compiled comprehensive events listings for Fairtrade Fortnight 2008 (25 February to 9 March). However, in Norfolk, fair trade-related events go on throughout the year!
We've archived the events listings for Fairtrade Fortnight 2006, those for Fairtrade Fortnight 2007 and Fairtrade Fortnight 2008, to help give you an idea of what you can expect for 2009, and hopefully inspire you to hold your own event.
Annual Theme
Each year community groups, churches, schools, and others throughout Norfolk join thousands all over the country in the two week campaign. The Fortnight's theme for 2007 was Change Today, Choose Fairtrade; for 2006, it was Make Fairtrade Your Habit. Themes aim to encourage everyone to make a habit of choosing Fairtrade goods in their everyday shopping.
How can you get involved?
Each year the Fair Trade in Norfolk network organises activities and events that run throughout Fairtrade Fortnight. Each year, we welcome volunteers to help us out. The opportunities are many and varied. Please take a look and let us know if any of them interest you.
FTiN also encourages others to co-ordinate their own activities, and supports them in doing so.

FTiN can help you:

- by providing information from past events
- design promotional materials
- publicise your event
- by providing teaching materials and guest speakers for schools.
Holding your own event is easier than ever to do. FTiN has loads of ideas to help you kick-start your event. We can help you co-ordinate food tastings to talks, or why not host a Fairtrade dinner for friends?
